Our friends at Berkeley-based DiversityWorks have spent years compiling this amazing (free!) online resource of exercises and activities to encourage reflection and action around issues of equity, diversity, access, power, cultural sensitivity, teambuilding and more. Appropriate for most age groups. A teacher and trainer's best friend.

Choose from hundreds of short-term (mostly summer) international volunteer opportunities through Volunteers for Peace (based in Vermont) where you work and live with other volunteers from different countries. Average age range is 21-24 but open to 18+. This is one of the least expensive US-based "volunteer sending" programs - designed for independent travelers. You pay your own travel plus a placement fee.

Hundreds of independent listings for volunteer opportunities around the world. Unlike http://www.volunteerinternational.org/ - not all are offered by nonprofits and there is no screening done to ensure quality programming so you'll have to do your own research to make sure your experience and volunteer contributions will be meaningful.
