Traveling Helps! 

A 2006 report of the National Geographic Global Literacy Survey reveals that most 18-24 year olds in the US have a very limited understanding of the world and our country’s role in it, and are dismally “unprepared for an increasingly global future.” According to the report, “far too many lack even the most basic skills for navigating the international economy or understanding the relationships among people and places that provide critical context for world events.”
